SOM SINDICALISTES BALEARS was born from the idea that this country needs a new trade‑union model. “SOM” is a group of people who began discussing the current problems of trade unionism during the 15M movement. After long and intense debates about the best way to work toward this change, we decided to create a new union: independent, without subsidies, funded 100% by its members, and based on assembly‑driven decision‑making.

We were born to encourage working people to join the struggle without imposing prior commitments that could limit us.

“SOM” free and independent. In “SOM”, we don’t care about your beliefs, your lack of them, or your political ideas, as long as we all accept an ethical code created collectively by the grassroots of our union.
